Follow-up on the tree maintenance after the ice storm

The City of Pointe-Claire wants to inform its citizens that the cleanup operation following last April’s ice storm is still on for the next few weeks. Despite a few pitfalls beyond our control, the majority of cases were taken care of. Rest assured that we are doing everything we can to get the work done as quickly as possible. Our team of arborists is ensuring public trees are safe throughout the territory. More than 700 trees were severely affected by the ice storm. The priority is to make sure the trees are safe and to inspect them to determine what work needs to be done first.

For damaged public trees located on the municipal right-of-way of your property, if an application has not yet been submitted, please inform us by email at tp@pointe-claire.ca. Otherwise, there is no need to write again, the Public Works Department will inspect the trees and take care of the work on a priority basis. Our Customer Service is receiving calls from people worrying about this. Rest assured that all cases are compiled and prioritized.

We would like to thank the citizens for their patience and understanding during this exceptional situation.
