This competition was a test of strength for Serena who, despite the result, continued to fight and defend her country’s colours with passion and determination. Throughout the Olympic Games, she played a key role on the Canadian team, demonstrating exemplary leadership and positively influencing her teammates’ performances in every match, which was essential in helping them achieve this position.

Strength and determination: Patrick Hussey and the Canadian team give it their all in the 4×200-m freestyle relay

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Patrick Hussey, a talented swimmer from the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club, took part in the 4×200-metre freestyle relay, contributing to the Canadian team’s notable performance. The team finished in 14th place with an impressive time of 7:12.07, while Patrick achieved a remarkable personal best of 1:47.83.
Despite the stiff competition, Patrick’s determination and team spirit were evident, testifying to his hours of preparation and his commitment to his sport and his country. His individual performance in the relay was a demonstration of his ability to compete at the highest level.

Caeli McKay finishes fourth in impressive performance at women’s diving final

Diver Caeli McKay has finished fourth overall in the women’s 10 metre diving final after another brilliant performance at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Her impressive score of 364.50 points was less than eight points behind North Korean diver Mi Rae Kim, who won the bronze medal.
Although it may feel heartbreaking to be so close to a podium finish, she should be nothing but proud of her performance, and the countless hours of hard work that went into being one of the best in the world.
The Pointe-Claire community could not be prouder to have had such a dedicated and talented athlete train with the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club. She continues to be a role model for the several young athletes who look up to her and share her Olympic dream.

We are proud to announce that Pointe-Claire Diving Club diver Caeli McKay, alongside her diving partner Kate Miller from Ottawa, has finished fourth place in the women’s 10-metre synchronized platform at the 2024 Olympic Games.
The two divers scored an impressive cumulative score of 299.22 points after five dives, narrowly placing behind China (359.10 points), North Korea (315.90 points) and Great Britain (304.38 points).

Historic finish: Olympic diver from Pointe-Claire Nathan Zsombor-Murray wins a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games

We are beyond excited to announce that long-time diver with the Pointe-Claire Diving Club Nathan Zsombor-Murray has won a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The event in which he earned a third-place finish was the 10-metre platform synchronized diving final, performing brilliantly alongside his diving partner Rylan Wiens, from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They finished with a score of 422.13 points after six dives, behind China and Great Britain, who finished first and second respectively.
This marks the first time in the Canada’s history that the country wins a medal in the men’s 10-metre synchronized diving event.
