Holiday Schedule

Your municipal departments are open during the holiday season:

 

Aquatic Centre

The Aquatic Centre will be closed from December 24 to 26, inclusively, as well as from December 31 to January 2, inclusively. For the rest of the holiday season, Aquatic Centre activities will run according to the regular schedule.

Family swims have been added during the following hours:

  • December 27, 28, 29 and 30
  • January 3, 4, 5 and 6
  • 50-metre pool – 6 lanes: Tuesday and Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • 25-yard pool: Wednesday and Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

Bob-Birnie Arena

The Bob-Birnie Arena will be closed on December 24, 25, 26 and 31 and January 1 and 2.

Public skating will take place according to the following schedule during the holiday season:

  • December 23, 27, 28, 29 and 30: from 11:00 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
  • January 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7: from 11:15 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
  • An additional session will be offered Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:20 p.m.

The arena will be open for public hockey according to the following schedule during the holiday season:

  • December 23, 27, 28, 29 and 30
  • January 3, 4, 5 and 6
  • From 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. (age 12 and under)
  • From 2:30 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. (age 13+)

 

Library

The Central Library and the Valois Branch will be closed December 24, 25 and 26, and from December 31 to January 2, inclusively. From December 27 to 30, the libraries will be open according to the regular schedule.

 

Stewart Hall Cultural Centre

The Cultural Centre and the Art Gallery will be closed from December 24 to 26, inclusively, as well as from December 31 to January 2. For the rest of the holiday season, the regular schedule will be in effect.

 

Collections

The regular organic waste, recyclable materials and household waste collection schedules will be maintained.

There will be a special natural Christmas tree collection on Monday, January 9, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

 

Inspection – Public Security

The Inspection – Public Security (IPS) Department is open at all times (24/7).

 

City Hall, Public Works, Recreation

City Hall and all of the departments it contains will be closed from December 23 to January 3, inclusively. The same applies to the Parks and Recreation Building, located at 94 Douglas-Shand Avenue.
