Holiday Season 2024 — Municipal Service Hours

All administrative services of the City of Pointe-Claire will be closed from Tuesday, December 24 until, Thursday, January 2. The Public Safety Inspection Service (ISP) remains open at all times (24 hours/7 days). You can reach them at 514 630-1234 or secpub@pointe-claire.ca.

During the holiday season, we invite you to enjoy the cultural and sports activities offered.

Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center will be closed from December 24 to 26, and from December 31 to January 2. Additional family swim sessions have been added for the holiday period. Please check the schedule on the Aquatic Center page.

Olive-Urquhart Sports Center

The Olive-Urquhart Sports Center will be closed on December 24, 25, 31, and January 1. The Center will be open on a modified schedule on December 26 and January 2, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  For additional information, please consult the Olive-Urquhart Sports Center page.

Bob-Birnie Arena

The Bob-Birnie Arena will be closed on December 24 and 25, as well as on December 31 and January 1. The arena will be open on a modified schedule on December 26 and January 2. Additional sessions for skating, hockey, and ringette have been added for the holiday period. Please check the schedule by visiting the Bob-Birnie Arena page.

Rinks, Cross-Country Skiing, and Walking Trails

Enjoy winter activities at the two refrigerated rinks in the Pointe-Claire and Valois villages, the cross-country skiing and walking trails at Beaconsfield Golf Club, and our ten winter trails.
Depending on weather conditions, our Public Works teams will maintain the various outdoor rinks and prepare the rinks in the parks. Check the Outdoor Rinks and Cross-Country Skiing page for site conditions before heading out.

Library

The Central Library and Valois Branch will be closed from December 24 to 26, and from December 31 to January 2.
At any time, you can enjoy the digital resources on the Pointe-Claire Public Library portal.

Stewart Hall Cultural Center

The Cultural Center will be closed from December 24 to 26, and from December 31 to January 2.
Take advantage of the holiday season to visit the current exhibitions:

Waste Collection

The collection schedule will remain as usual.
Sector A – The recyclable waste collection will take place on Thursday, December 26 and January 2. The household waste collection will take place on Tuesday, December 24.
Sector B – The recyclable waste collection will take place on Thursday, December 26, and January 2. The household waste collection will take place on Tuesday, December 31.

Christmas Tree Collection

The collection of natural Christmas trees will take place on Friday, January 10, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. For more information, visit the Christmas Trees page.
