Huge success of the distribution of face coverings

The 4,000 face coverings provided by the City to all citizens free of charge on a first come, first served basis have been or are in the process of being distributed.

Given the popularity of the offer and the limited supply of face coverings, we are forced to stop taking e-mail and phone inquiries as of noon today, July 28. Our teams are busy making appointments with the 1,000 people who have requested them over the past few days.

This enthusiasm shows residents’ solidarity in supporting the requirement to wear a mask or face covering in public transport and closed public places, in accordance with government and public health measures in response to the COVID pandemic- 19.
