Ice removal operations underway

To prevent the ice build-up that can occur during periods of temperature fluctuations, the City of Pointe-Claire will be conducting ice removal operations over the next few days.

Four road graders will be on city streets to dislodge the ice and allow for better water flow, particularly when mild and sunny weather is forecasted. Snowblowers will round off the operations, blowing snow and ice off the streets.

To ensure the safety of pedestrians and road users, the City keeps up to date with the best ice and snow removal procedures. Also, its ice removal operations have been optimized by an approach focusing both on prevention and sustained actions such as this one.
