Improvements to the Valois Park chalet

The City would like to inform residents that improvements will be made to the Valois Park chalet from March 12 to May 22 in order to keep it in good condition, improve services, and make it accessible to persons with reduced mobility for the entire community to enjoy.

“The improvements to our municipal infrastructure will allow us to ensure that our facilities are better adapted to the needs of athletes, families, and persons with reduced mobility,” stated Mayor Belvedere.

In an effort to promote universal accessibility, new doors will also be installed at the main entrance and the restrooms will be entirely rebuilt. The exterior siding and roof of the building will also be replaced.

The chalet will be closed to the public while work is in progress.

Starting on May 7, the date the chalet usually opens, park visitors can use the restrooms and changing rooms of the building located near the splash pad. Work has been planned to limit the impact on the services offered and ongoing programs, and will be completed by the beginning of summer.
