January 31 to February 3 – Closures in the Highway 13 and 40 interchange area
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that major work is planned by the Ministère des Transports on the weekend of January 31, requiring exceptional closures in the area of highways 13 and 40. The Highway 13 southbound overpass will be dismantled, which will require the complete closure of Highway 40 and its service roads in both directions throughout the weekend.
Traffic disruptions and management
Highway 13 southbound
- Complete closure between exit 6 – A-40 / Québec / Ottawa / Gatineau and the on-ramp from Highway 40 eastbound, from Friday, January 31, at 11 p.m. to Monday, February 3, at 5 a.m.
Highway 40 and service roads in both directions
- Complete closure in the interchange area, from Friday, January 31, at 11 p.m. to Monday, February 3, at 5 a.m.
Detours will be indicated by temporary signage. Road users are, however, asked to avoid the area and opt for alternative routes, such as highways 20 and 30 on the South Shore, or Highway 15 (Décarie and Des Laurentides) and highways 440 or 640. Periods of congestion are to be expected.
In the event of unfavourable weather conditions or operational constraints, this work could be postponed or cancelled.
