Local Ecocentre on October 19
This Saturday, October 19, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., the last local Ecocentre of the year will take place in the Public Works yard at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue. It’s an opportunity for citizens to dispose of various items responsibly, thus contributing to sustainable waste management and the preservation of our environment. It’s time to get rid of the last debris from the August 9 storm.
What Can You Bring to the Ecocentre?
Ecocentres are places where you can drop off a variety of materials so they can be reused, recycled or diverted. Here are a few items you can bring:
- Construction debris: Wood planks, demolition debris, etc.
- Electronic products: Computers, televisions, household appliances.
- Tires
- Branches over 10 cm in diameter: These are not collected at the curb.
- Items not recoverable during regular collections: Bulky items
Proposed Services
We would also like to inform you that shredding services will be offered. Compost will also be available free of charge. We remind you to limit yourself to 100 L per person to allow as many citizens as possible to benefit. Don’t forget to bring along your shovel and containers. However, there will be no wood chips available, as these are used for the landscaping of the city’s parks, green spaces and public areas.
Free Tulip Bulbs
The City of Pointe-Claire is pleased to offer its citizens 65 bags of tulip bulbs in a variety of colours. These were collected when annual flowers were planted in various landscaping projects. They will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Due to attendance and the length of the queue, we may have to limit access to the Ecocentre before closing time.
