Mayor’s Message – United to save lives

Dear Citizens,

We have been standing united for over three weeks now against COVID-19, by following the self-isolation instructions to limit its spread.

I want to thank you for your collective efforts. We are doing it for us, our neighbours, our friends, our family and our entire community. We are doing it to save lives.

Together, let’s continue to follow the instructions by washing our hands regularly, staying two metres apart and only going out when necessary.

I want to remind you that we are always there for you.

In every municipal department, we have implemented strategies to continue to maintain essential services while ensuring our staff’s safety. In this same perspective, for departments where it was possible, we have enabled employees to work from home so that you can continue to receive services remotely, online and by phone. Visit the City’s website to contact our departments.

We have also launched a COVID-19 call centre to hear your concerns, answer your questions and direct you to the right external resources, so that we can get through this unprecedented time in history together as quickly as possible. You can also subscribe to a list to receive regular phone calls.

Call us from Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., at 514-630-1314 or write to us at infoC19@pointe-claire.ca.

If you have any questions about COVID-19, you can contact the West Island CIUSSS Info Line daily, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., at 514-630-2123.

Let’s continue to be model citizens through this global fight against COVID-19.

We are counting on you, and you can count on us.

John Belvedere

Mayor of Pointe-Claire
