National day of remembrance for victims of COVID‑19
The Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, Tim Thomas, and the members of City Council invite citizens to join the national commemoration movement this Saturday, March 11, to pay homage to the victims of the pandemic, and show their support for their families and loved ones.
“As we commemorate this day, we want to remember the people we lost and recognize the work of the many who, for two years, have ensured the provision of health care, food supply and essential services,” said Mayor Tim Thomas.
The flags at City Hall will be at half mast for this day of remembrance.
Citizens are invited to gather at the Solidarity Orchard, inaugurated in 2020, to commemorate the citizens who left us, struck down by COVID-19.
