New easing of restrictions and changes to indoor activities

Following recent government announcements, the City wishes to inform you of changes to the municipal service offer in culture, sports and leisure.

Indoor activities
As of today, indoor sports, culture and leisure activities will resume with a maximum of 25 participants per group. Those who are already registered for courses or programs will be contacted regarding any changes in how the activities will be held.

Public activities in the weight room at 50% capacity and gymnasium for pickleball will resume. Online registration on LUDIK is required before participating in the activities.

Indoor sports matches are resuming today and tournaments and competitions will resume as of February 28. The limit on the number of participants and spectators will be lifted as of February 28.

Masks, except during intense physical activity, and the vaccination passport are still mandatory.

Note that the public will be admitted to the Aquatic Centre and the Arena in the stands and bleachers, on presentation of a vaccination passport at the entrance.

Performances and concerts
The performance halls will reopen at 50% capacity as of February 21 and full capacity in the following weeks. The vaccination passport is mandatory. For information on upcoming performances and concerts, click here.

Room rentals in municipal buildings
As of February 21, room rentals for activities  in municipal buildings will resume, for a maximum of 50 people, with the vaccination passport. This maximum will be lifted as of March 14 for groups that present the vaccination passport, and a maximum of 20 people will be permitted without the vaccination passport.

Vaccination passport
The vaccination passport is still mandatory in order to enter the Arena and the Aquatic Centre and for certain activities at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre and the Central Library.

It is not required to enter the Central Library, the Valois Branch and the Art Gallery, or in the Kids’ Corner and boutique at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre.

These measures can change at any time based on health guidelines.
