Nuit de la lecture (night of reading) – An entire evening dedicated to the joy of reading

This Saturday, January 18, children, their parents and all other adults are invited to the Central Library for a celebration of reading.

At 6:30 p.m., an hour of storytelling on the topics of night, sleep and bedtime stories will be presented to children aged 3 to 12. Then, for close to two hours and still with their parents, they will be able to sit on their yoga mat or sleeping bag to read or play board games while enjoying warm milk, hot chocolate and marshmallows! Registration is required for both of these activities.

At 6 p.m., adults who have signed up can enjoy an escape game inspired by Arsène Lupin et le Diamant blanc in French or an Unlock! Mystery Game in English.

The evening will conclude with a talk at 7:15 p.m. given by actor and novelist Louise Portal, who will discuss her novels and her journey as a woman shaped by her career. Admission is free and the talk will be given in French, followed by a bilingual question period. Wine and cheese will be served.
