Pointe-Claire celebrates Québec’s 21st Public Library Week

The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, invites citizens of all ages to discover, rediscover or take full advantage of their library during Québec’s Public Library Week, from October 19 to 26.

“Whether you’re visiting the Central Library or the Valois branch, Pointe-Claire offers a multitude of services and activities surrounding the joy of reading. The staff always has good recommendations for their readers, whether they want to be informed or entertained,” Mayor Belvedere said.

On Saturday, October 19, citizens of all ages are invited to a family breakfast at 9 a.m. at the Central Library. At 11 a.m., a brunch will be hosted where you can speak with West Island authors, and in the afternoon a DIY diary craft is planned. This cutting and gluing activity will begin at 1:30 p.m.

On October 25 and 26, a book sale organized by the Friends of the Library will be held at the Central Library, providing an opportunity to purchase popular books while supporting Library activities.
