Pointe-Claire community honoured at Coronation Medal ceremony

On Sunday, March 2, the federal government held the King Charles IIII Coronation Medal event at the Baie-de-Valois Nautical Centre, honouring individuals who have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a province, territory, region or community.

At this event, 12 Pointe-Claire residents were recognized for their significant contribution. Their commitment reflects the sense of community we have in Pointe-Claire. Congratulations to our residents for their dedication: Dr. Gordon Brabant, George Doxas, Stewart Grant, Terry Hebert, David Hawkins, Sheila Laursen, Geneviève Lussier, Debbie Magwood, Peter Murphy, Allison Saunders, Deborrah Sharon Bradwell and Diana Tsypina.

Member of Pointe-Claire Rescue Unit receives Coronation Medal

The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to acknowledge the exceptional commitment of Mr. Graeme Maag, who received the Coronation Medal in recognition of his 40 years of volunteer service with the Pointe-Claire Volunteer Rescue Unit (PCVRU).

For four decades, Mr. Maag has played an essential role in the safety of our community. Through his dedication and expertise, he has helped prevent numerous incidents and assist citizens in difficulty. His commitment is a perfect illustration of the values of solidarity and mutual aid that are the strength of the rescue unit.

Our sincere thanks to Mr. Graeme Maag for his invaluable contribution to our community.
