Pointe-Claire seeks candidates for Planning Advisory Committee

The City of Pointe-Claire is looking for candidates to serve for two years on the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC), which is responsible for examining proposals for development.

This committee plays an essential role in the city’s architectural evolution, planning, territory management and compliance with by-laws.

The PAC is a paid working group made up of citizens and City Council members who meet on a monthly basis to provide recommendations on requests pertaining to matters such as the planning program, zoning, subdivision and construction by-laws, and implementation of new by-laws.

Candidates must live in Pointe-Claire or have relevant occupational experience in a related field, such as architecture, urban planning, heritage or landscaping. Other criteria also considered are analytical capacity and the ability to express oneself and voice one’s opinions on issues related to architecture and development. Candidates must be interested in urban planning and the quality of life provided in Pointe-Claire and be available for on-site project visits.

The deadline for applying is October 28, 2016. Applications must include a letter of interest, an up-to-date résumé and the candidate’s availability, and be emailed to direction.urbanisme@pointe-claire.ca.
