Update: Poor air quality

Update: June 26,2023

With air quality slowly improving, outdoor activities are back since noon, with the exception of the Canoe Kayak Club activities for visibility reasons. We suggest that you take frequent breaks and stay indoors as much as possible, especially if you have respiratory problems. Everything should be back to normal by the end of the day.

June 25, 2023

Due to poor air quality and following  Public Health directives, the City of Pointe-Claire has cancelled most outdoor activities until noon on June 26.

Before heading out, we recommend that you contact the organizer of your activity to verify that it is taking place. Note that these measures are in force with many sports and recreational organizations.

Presence of smog

Public Health recommends to:

  • Give priority to indoor activities
  • Close outdoor sports facilities (including pools and wading pools)
  • Cancel outdoor cultural activities

Please note that municipal day camps will avoid outdoor activities. Further communications will follow as the situation evolves.

Thank you for your understanding,
