Possible discoloured water

May 18, 2023

The City of Pointe-Claire wishes to inform you that since this morning, Thursday, May 18, a drop in pressure in the aqueduct network has resulted in the discoloration of the drinking water for the entire territory of Pointe-Claire. The City of Pointe-Claire and the City of Montreal are currently assessing the situation.

This coloration is caused by a variation in the water pressure in the aqueduct network, which causes the detachment of mineral particles normally stuck to the walls of the pipe system.

Note that the water still remains drinkable, unless otherwise specified.

We will communicate with you if there are any changes throughout the day.

Thank you for your understanding.
