Preliminary work at the entrance to the Pointe-Claire Village
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you of the first phase of preliminary work to develop a new public space at the entrance to the Pointe-Claire Village, at the intersection of Du Bord-du-Lac ̶ Lakeshore Road and Cartier Avenue, following its recent acquisition by the City.
Old sheds located at the rear of 265 Du Bord-du-Lac ̶ Lakeshore Road but visible from Cartier Avenue will be demolished starting tomorrow. Their state of disrepair was also safety issue. The work could extend until July 14 and will involve noise and dust.
The City acquired this land at the beginning of the year to create a formal welcoming, attraction, public life and gathering area at the entrance to the Pointe-Claire Village as part of its revitalization.
Public consultations on the development of this green space will be held. All ideas from citizens and merchants will be welcome.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
