Preserving the natural beauty of Terra-Cotta Natural Park: a reminder of the essential rules

Terra-Cotta Natural Park is a haven of peace where nature offers a unique spectacle all year round. To maintain this space in the best possible condition and ensure a pleasant experience for all, the City of Pointe-Claire reminds its citizens of the essential rules of conduct.

Respecting trails and wildlife

It is essential to stay on the trails to enjoy activities like hiking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, while minimizing the impact on our ecosystem. In respect for wildlife, it is prohibited to remove natural elements, feed animals or destroy vegetation, so as not to disturb the natural balance of the park. It is also important not to introduce any animal or plant species into the park.

Keeping dogs on leash and cleaning up after them

We ask all dog owners to keep their pets on a leash during their visit, and to keep the park clean by picking up and disposing of their pet’s excrement properly. Waste bins are available at the entrances to facilitate this task.

Respecting prohibitions for everyone’s safety

Biking, as well as smoking, vaping, lighting fires, camping or consuming alcohol, is prohibited in the park. These rules are put in place to ensure a safe and healthy space for all visitors.

Waste management

We count on every visitor to keep the park clean by using the garbage bins provided. Together, we can keep Terra-Cotta clean and welcoming.

By respecting these guidelines, every visitor contributes to preserving the beauty and tranquillity of the Terra-Cotta Natural Park. We thank you for your cooperation and hope you enjoy your visit while respecting our natural environment.

Thank you for helping us protect the woodland!
