Public skating at the Bob-Birnie Arena to celebrate Canada 150

The Mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, invites residents to the Bob-Birnie Arena for a public skating activity starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, as part of the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation.

“Throughout the year, we have organized a special cultural and recreational program to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation. This skating activity is the perfect way to end this outstanding program. Everyone is invited to have fun on the ice and enjoy an afternoon of activities and entertainment with their friends and family,” stated Mayor Belvedere.

To mark the end of this year of celebrations, Pointe-Claire is joining many communities across Canada for a skating party taking place from coast to coast.

Children can also meet fun mascots that are sure to please the whole family, and the little ones can have their face painted and do some colouring. Off the ice, everyone can warm up and satisfy their sweet tooth with some hot chocolate.

Everyone is invited for this free, festive skating event on Sunday, December 10, from 1 to 2:20 p.m., at the Bob-Birnie Arena.
