Public Works Day

The City of Pointe-Claire is happy to announce that, as part of National Public Works Week, Public Works Day will be back this year! The event will be held on Saturday, May 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the parking lot of the Terra-Cotta Natural Park, located at 50 Terra-Cotta Avenue.

All residents who participate will have the opportunity to meet the numerous teams working in the Public Works and Buildings Department. They will be on-site to explain to the public the different jobs and projects they undertake, as well as the various tools they use every day.

Everyone will be able to take advantage of the numerous activities offered throughout the day by various municipal teams. The road team will present the several vehicles used during operation. You will have the chance to sit in these machines and see for yourself the many blind spots found in these large vehicles. A waterworks repair workshop will also allow you to see our teams at work.

Children will be able to take advantage of a DIY workshop, take part in an apprentice circuit, play in an inflatable game, and have their face painted. They will also be able to showcase their ability to mark the street using chalk and the stencils operated by Public Works.

The Human Resources Department will be on hand to present the wide variety of jobs offered at the City of Pointe-Claire, as well as current job openings. Citizens are invited to bring their curriculum vitae (CV).

Food kiosks will be on site for the event. Take the opportunity to picnic with your family.
