Revegetation work at Grande-Anse Park

Revegetation work will be taking place until October 6 in Grande-Anse Park, on the shores of Lake Saint-Louis. The City of Pointe-Claire will be planting indigenous plant beds around the access path leading to wharf no. 1, in compliance with the Environment Quality Act (LQE) of Quebec’s Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte aux changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs.

From the start of construction until November 2024, a sediment barrier will be installed to prevent debris from being blown into Lake Saint-Louis during high winds. In addition, to prevent passers-by from trampling the plants, a snow fence will be installed temporally at the front of the flowerbeds.

This intervention is one of the actions enabling the City of Pointe-Claire to make its territory resilient and to adapt to climate change, to protect the biodiversity of the lake and its banks and to prevent soil erosion.

Thank you for your cooperation.
