Road safety awareness campaign – Active participation of the entire community

The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to highlight the active participation of the entire community in the  “I slow down for…” campaign, which, from May to October, has raised awareness among drivers of the importance of respecting the speed limit and sharing the road.

Signs have been posted around the city calling on drivers to slow down to protect our children, our families, our neighbours, in short, the entire community! Over 250 citizens participated in promoting road safety by placing a sign in front of their property.

Some 150 citizens also participated in recommending locations for installing radar speed signs. They were installed in 66 locations on the territory for the entire summer.

The “I slow down for…” campaign will wrap up in mid-October. The Inspection – Public Security team will collect the signs set up in front of residents’ homes over the next few weeks.
