Road safety awareness contest
First winners
Congratulations to the Carter and Barriga families; they were the first names to be drawn from among all the participants in the road safety awareness summer campaign. Dressed for the occasion in his inspector costume, Buddy the City mascot handed out prizes to the winning families, including useful items in the City’s colours.
The Slower is safer! campaign reminds all users—drivers, cyclists and pedestrians—of the importance of adopting safe road behaviours. Signs illustrating the benefits of respecting speed limits, caution and safe driving are set up on public and private properties for that purpose.
You can put the posters up in front of your home until mid-October. Get yours by contacting the Inspection – Public Security Department at 514-630-1234 or at secpub@pointe-claire.ca. Choose your favourite poster from the 12 options for a chance to win this summer! There will be three more draws this summer.
The Carter family: Roy, Clayton and Doreen, with Buddy the City mascot, receiving their road safety awareness campaign prize.
The Barriga family: Christiane, Charlie, Evelyne, Elyse and Steven, with Buddy the City mascot, receiving their road safety awareness campaign prize.
