Saturday, May 2, 2020 – Ecocentre Day

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform residents that the Ecocentre day scheduled for Saturday, May 2, is still on. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Public Works yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue) will be open for those wanting to drop off their items there.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, certain precautionary measures will be taken to ensure everyone’s safety:

  • Access to the Public Works yard will be limited to two vehicles at a time. If it is busy, we may have to close off the line before closing time, which is scheduled for 4 p.m.
  • A distance of 2 metres must be maintained between each individual.
  • Given these circumstances, no help can be provided on site to unload items.

The document shredding service will also be available. The distribution of compost or wood chips has been postponed to a later date.

All citizens over the age of 70 and considered to be at risk are asked to opt for the door-to-door bulky item collection on May 6 or the mattress, sofa and armchair collection on May 6 and 7, or go to an Ecocentre day once the pandemic is over.

We remind you that the Ecocentre days take place once a month, until October.
