Special cultural, leisure and sports programming

Due to the strike days of the various unions representing employees of the Quebec public network, and notably the school network, from November 21 to 23, the City of Pointe-Claire is offering a special programming. A wide range of activities is offered to suit everyone’s interests.

On all three days, free skating periods are offered at the Bob-Birnie Arena from 11 a.m. to 12:20 p.m., and at the Cartier refrigerated rink from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please visit the City’s website prior to your visit to check on the condition of the rink and the maintenance schedule.

The Aquatic Center will be open as usual, and will be offering an additional family swim period this Thursday, November 23, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., in the 6-50 m pool. See the schedule for all available activities.

Visit the Olive-Urquhart Sports Center page to find out about the various schedules for the practice of numerous sports such as basketball, soccer, pickleball and more. The pool will be open for an additional period of recreational swimming on Wednesday, November 22, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Please note that children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Art supplies for families and self-guided art activities will be available at Stewart Hall Cultural Centre, according to the schedule on the website. Take advantage of your visit to the Gallery to explore the latest exhibitions, including the 2024 Art Rental Collection, as well as MacLean Fashion at the Kids’ Corner, and take part in a game of Hunt and Seek.

The libraries (Centrale and Valois) will be open as usual.

We invite you to consult the fall Leisure program and the Culture Notes to find out about all the activities offered.
