Summer season launches with the opening of public pianos
Once again this summer, residents, family, and friends are all invited to visit Pointe-Claire’s two public pianos this summer: one located on the terrace of the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre (176 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore), available from June 9 to September 29, and the second one located at the Sara’s Enchanted Forest Reading Garden behind the Central Library (100 Douglas-Shand Avenue), available from June 16 to September 29.
All who wish to play a tune or simply enjoy the sound of music can access these two public pianos from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. everyday, all summer long!
Opening Concerts
Concert on Sunday, June 9, at 3 p.m. – Louise Sauvé Jazz Ensemble
Celebrate the opening of the public piano season on the terrace with the Louise Sauvé Jazz Ensemble. They’ll be performing vocal jazz classics such as Sway, New York, New York, Besame Mucho, Summertime, What a Wonderful World, La Vie en rose, Formidable and C’est si bon, for your listening pleasure!
The concert will take place at the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre on Sunday, June 9 at 3 p.m. Admission is free, and no reservation is required for the event. In case of rain, the event will take place indoors.
Concert on Sunday, June 18, at 3:30 p.m. – Duo JM Piano & Vocals
Come and celebrate the opening of the public piano season in the Central Library garden with Duo piano & Voix JM. Jonathan and Maya will perform jazz classics with a Brazilian twist on solo piano and piano-voice duets such as Fever, At Last, Georgia on my Mind, Autumn Leaves, Fly me to the Moon, The Girl from Ipanema, Moondance and many more for your listening pleasure!
The concert will take place at the Sara’s Enchanted Forest Reading Garden behind the Central Library on Sunday, June 18 at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free, and no reservation is required for the event.
