Swimming competitions for master swimmers and young people at the Aquatic Centre

Morris Trudeau, mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, is pleased to announce that two swimming competitions in separate categories are to be held on February 18 and 19, at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre.

Many of Québec’s master swimmers will take part in diverse events on Saturday. This is the 17th edition of this competition. The Masters Swim Club of Pointe-Claire will be proudly represented by about 40 swimmers.

The second competition will be held under a topical theme: Valentine’s Day. Swimmers from the area aged 10 and under will put forth all the love and effort needed to be the big winners of this event, organized by the Pointe-Claire Swim Club, in partnership with the Lac Saint-Louis Swimming Association. The young athletes will be able to compete in individual events and relays. One hundred and thirty young people will be there representing the Pointe-Claire Swim Club.

“Everyone is invited to come and cheer on the athletes, big and small, who take part and perform in these two competitions,” says the mayor.

The competitions start at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

The Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre is at 60 Maywood Avenue.
