Update: Tree Distribution Rescheduled to Sunday, April 27 and Reservation Period Now Closed

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform residents that the tree distribution event, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 26, has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 27, 2025, due to weather conditions. 

The reservation period is now closed. Thank you to everyone who participated! 

Nearly 450 trees have been reserved this year. However, several species are still available. If you have not reserved a tree or would like to receive an additional one, you are welcome to come to the Public Works Yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue) on Sunday, April 27, between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., until supplies last. 

 

April 14, 2025 : Update: Earth Day 2025 – Reserve your tree now!

The reservation form is now online to help you choose the tree specie you want for your property. You have until Wednesday, April 23, 11:59 p.m. to reserve a tree.

The first 100 people to reserve a tree online will have the chance to receive a free rainwater barrel. You can pick up the barrel when you pick up your tree at the Public Works yard on Saturday, April 26.

Items also available for purchase on site are:
• Rain barrels: $43
• Home composters: $27
• Kitchen and compost cones: free of charge

Citizens will be invited to pick up their tree in person on April 26. To avoid a long waiting line, when making your reservation, please select the time slot during which you will pick up your tree. It is important to respect your time slot, otherwise your reservation will be lost after 1 p.m.

If you have not reserved a tree, you may go to the Public Works yard between 1 and 4 p.m. to purchase a tree or one of the items mentioned above.

We would like to remind you that no objects, materials or matter will be accepted on this day. The next Ecocentre will take place on May 10.

 

Earth Day Activities

To celebrate Earth Day, the City of Pointe-Claire is offering a variety of activities for all ages: fun and educational workshops on water and waste sorting, gardening activities, conferences, and a park clean-up.

March 25, 2025 : To celebrate Earth Day 2025, plant a tree!

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, as part of Earth Day celebrations, the City of Pointe-Claire is thrilled to offer 575 trees free of charge to residents who register online. This initiative is perfect for those A perfect initiative for those wishing to contribute to the greening of private spaces and the preservation of our urban canopy.

 

How to reserve your tree?

The reservation form will be available on our website as of Monday, April 14 at noon. Act quickly, as the first 100 people that sign up will also receive a free rain barrel!

Don’t forget to have your MULTI card handy when making your reservation.

 

Choose the right tree for your space

Does your yard have a lot of shade? Or do you want to place your tree in direct sunlight? Depending on the environment, it’s important to select the right species.

Before you register, we invite you to check the list of available species , which will help you make an informed choice before reservation day.
