Traffic interruptions in the Pointe-Claire Village from February 10 to 14
In preparation for the construction of a private building at 286-288 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road, the City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that Hydro-Québec will be relocating electrical power lines for security reasons, which will cause traffic interruptions in the Pointe-Claire Village from February 10 to 14.
This work to relocate the network, carried out at the owner’s expense, will cause certain traffic interruptions on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road, where only one traffic lane will be maintained in alternating directions. Sainte-Anne Avenue will be closed to traffic for two days, and Demers and Saint-Joachim avenues will serve as detours.
The parking lot next to the building will be closed for these five days, as will the street parking spaces on Sainte-Anne Avenue (between Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road and Demers Avenue), on Demers Avenue, and on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road between Saint-Joachim and Sainte-Anne avenues.
The poles will be installed along Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road and Sainte-Anne Avenue, on the municipal right-of-way. Once the power lines are moved, the same will be done for the telephone, cable and fibre-optic service lines over the following months. Once this work is complete, the old poles will be removed.
Four new fast-growing trees will also be planted in the village this spring. These improvements will compensate for the necessary felling of two trees, including one declining, in Édouard-Paiement Park on January 30 and 31. Pruning work will also be carried out.
These dates are subject to change based on weather conditions.
Thank you for your understanding.
