Two swimming competitions this weekend at the Aquatic Centre

The mayor of the City of Pointe-Claire, John Belvedere, invites residents to cheer for our Masters and Bout de Chou athletes in two swim meets that will take place on February 17 and 18 at the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre.

At the 18th edition of the Masters competition, which will be held on Saturday, nearly 150 athletes will compete in various swimming styles in the Aquatic Centre pools. Around 40 swimmers will represent the Pointe-Claire Masters Swim Club.

On Sunday, the Pointe-Claire Swim Club will host young swimmers at a competition organized in collaboration with the Lac Saint-Louis Swimming Association. Children aged 7 to 10 will compete against each other in a series of events bringing together nearly 700 of the best swimmers in the area as they strive to improve their performance in individual and relay races. 126 swimmers will represent the Pointe-Claire Swim Club.

The Masters competition begins at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, and the Bout de Chou meet starts at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is free.

The Pointe-Claire Aquatic Centre is located at 60 Maywood Avenue.
