Update – Resumption of nautical activities

Update – July 3, 2020

Nautical activities:

  • Saturday, July 4: gradual opening of the Open Paddle program and the rentals

  • Schedule
July 4 and 5          : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 6 to 10           : 4 to 8 :45 p.m.
July 11 and 12      : 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 13 to 17         : 12 to 8 p.m.


Competitive teams:

The Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club is gradually opening the competitive program based on age group:

  • U10–U12: week of July 6
  • Masters: week of July 6
  • Participants on the waiting list will be contacted by the Club in the coming weeks.


Health and safety first for an enjoyable summer:

  • Reservations and registration: ludik.pointe-claire.ca
  • Location of the activities: Canoe kayak Club (75 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road)
  • A limited number of spots are available.
  • Club locker rooms and washrooms are closed to the public. Chemical toilets are available on site.
  • Mandatory one-way circulation has been established on site for all vehicles.
  • It is recommended to bring your Transport Canada-certified life jacket or personal flotation device (PFD). Wearing this equipment is mandatory on the water.
  • All COVID-19 health measures must be observed at all times.


The City of Pointe-Claire invites citizens to read the following information regarding the resumption of nautical activities:

Offices and buildings:
Buildings remain closed to the public, but we continue to progressively integrate certain activities.

Racing teams:
The Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club is gradually opening the competitive program, based on the following age groups:

  • U16 – U24: Week of June 22
  • Masters: Week of June 22
  • U10 – U14: Schedule to be confirmed in the coming weeks. The Club will directly contact the athletes already registered for the program.

Sailing Base:
The Sailing Base is currently operational. Storage of private boats is also accessible to the public. Additional safety and health measures have been put in place in accordance with government guidelines to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

Nautical activities:
The resumption of nautical activities, including boat rentals, has been postponed to a later date. The information will be updated on the City’s website.
