Water service interruption and street closure on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road

The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that work on the water supply system is planned on Wednesday, January 22, causing a water service interruption from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Water may be obtained by contacting the Inspection – Public Security Department at 514-630-1234. A public restroom is available in the Noël-Legault Community Centre (245 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road).

Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road will be closed to traffic between De Lourdes and Saint-Joachim avenues for the duration of the work. Businesses will remain accessible. Students at École Marguerite-Bourgeoys will board the school bus in the Alexandre-Bourgeau Park parking lot when going home. The school will remain accessible to cars, however.

When the drinking water returns, it may be discoloured. This discolouration results from pressure fluctuations in the drinking water supply system that cause mineral particles that are naturally stuck to the walls of the pipe to become detached. It is recommended to let the water run for a few minutes (about 10 to 15 minutes) until it is clear again before using it. The water remains drinkable unless specified otherwise.

Thank you for your cooperation.
