Week of November 4 – Water closures and work by Ville de Montréal in the Pointe-Claire Village
Update: November 7 at 9 a.m.
Ville de Montréal will be doing work in the Pointe-Claire Village next week that will require water closures and traffic interruptions on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road.
This work will take place on the dates indicated below and the water closure periods may vary according to the progress of the work. Notices will be distributed to your door by Ville de Montréal with closure times for the addresses concerned. We recommend that you stock up on drinking water during this period.
November 4 and 5, 2019
Water closure: November 5 from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Affected addresses: 344 to 367 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road and 5, 7, 9 Jasper Avenue
On Monday, work will be done on valves, which will create fluctuations in the water pressure. Complete closure of the water supply is required and scheduled on Tuesday. One traffic lane will be open with alternating traffic on Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road between Jasper and Pointe-Claire avenues.
November 7 to 8, 2019
Water closure: from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Affected addresses: 254 to 303 Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road
Work will be done at night to limit the impact of water closures in the area. This type of work requires various machinery and will generate noise. One lane will be open with alternating traffic at the intersection of Sainte-Anne Avenue and Du Bord-du-Lac – Lakeshore Road.
It should be noted that the preliminary work carried out thanks to our teams’ initiative this summer will facilitate this work by Ville de Montréal and reduce any inconveniences in the village.
For both operations, when the drinking water returns, if it is discoloured, it is recommended to let it run for about 10 to 15 minutes until it is clear again, especially before doing laundry or dishes.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
