Winter parking restrictions and Snow-Info system

With the arrival of the cold season, the City of Pointe-Claire wishes to remind you that certain rules apply to on-street parking between November 15 and April 15.

During the winter period, on-street parking is prohibited at night, between midnight and 7 a.m., throughout the territory. However, you can use the Snow Info system to check whether parking is exceptionally permitted.

Simply call 514 630-1205 or visit the Snow Info Web page every day after 5 p.m., to find out if on-street parking is permitted that night. This information is updated daily, depending on weather conditions and snow removal operations underway throughout the territory.

Please note that you must respect the parking ban, even after your street has been cleared by City vehicles. Snow and ice removal operations are carried out in several stages: plowing, snow removal, spreading abrasives, etc. Depending on the weather forecast, several passes may be necessary.  It is therefore important to keep the streets clear throughout the night.

If parking is authorized, it is important to obey the signs in place. Overnight parking is only permitted in areas where parking is already available from April 15 to November 15.

Check street signs and make sure to park your vehicle in the right place.

Awareness and reminder

In the coming days, inspectors from the Public Safety Inspection Service will be patrolling the territory to distribute infractions notices to individuals parked in areas that will be prohibited starting November 15.

Thank you for your cooperation.
