Work from Montréal to the Brunswick water supply system and possible discoloured water in the area

The Ville de Montréal will be conducting work on a drinking water supply pipe on Brunswick Boulevard at the Pointe-Claire and Kirkland boundary on September 3.

The drinking water supply will be maintained for the duration of the work and a partial traffic interruption is planned. There may be some water discolouration for properties located north and west of Brunswick and Saint-Jean boulevards.

This discolouration results from pressure fluctuations in the drinking water supply system that cause mineral particles that are naturally stuck to the walls of the pipe to become detached.

It is recommended to let the water run for a few minutes (about 10 to 15 minutes) until it is clear again before using it. The water remains drinkable unless specified otherwise.

Thank you for your understanding.
