Youth Advisory Board: Call for candidates 2022

The City of Pointe-Claire is currently seeking candidates to sit on the Youth Advisory Board for 2022.

The Youth Advisory Board was set up in November 2018 to allow 10 young, bilingual Pointe-Claire residents, aged 14 to 21, who are involved in the community, to contribute to municipal life for a one-year term. The Board has the support of a City councillor, a City manager and a school representative.

During their mandate, the Board members analyze projects and make recommendations to City Council with a view to improving activities, services and public facilities to better meet the needs of Pointe-Claire’s young residents.

Over the last year, the Board launched its own Instagram account in order to present its members, projects and accomplishments, and to reach young people in the community. The members are also working on the various files that were chosen at the beginning of their mandate.

Young Pointe-Claire residents wishing to get involved in their community have until September 1 to submit their application. Candidates will be evaluated based on criteria such as community involvement.
