Water Shutoff – Water Main Break at Avro Avenue and Montée Saint-Rémi
The City of Pointe-Claire wishes to inform you that the City of Montréal is currently carrying out repairs on a water main break that occurred at the intersection of Avro Avenue and Montée Saint-Rémi.
A water shutoff is required in order to complete the repairs, and will remain in effect until work is fully completed.
Only the following addresses are affected by this interruption:
- Des Sources Boulevard: 2525
- Aviation Road: 2555
Businesses located at these addresses have been notified of the shutoff.
Once water service is restored, a boil water advisory will be issued for these same addresses.
Avro Avenue remains closed to traffic between Montée Saint-Rémi and Des Sources Boulevard for the duration of the work. A detour is in place via Saint-François Road, Hymus Boulevard, and Des Sources Boulevard.
Lifting of Boil Water Advisory – Avro Avenue and Montée Saint-Rémi

The City of Pointe-Claire informs residents that the boil water advisory issued following the repair of a water main break at the intersection of Avro Avenue and Montée Saint-Rémi has now been lifted.
Water may now be consumed without boiling at the addresses affected by the advisory.
However, Avro Avenue remains closed to traffic between Montée Saint-Rémi and Des Sources Boulevard.
A detour is in place via Saint-François Road, Hymus Boulevard and Des Sources Boulevard.

The City of Montréal's teams are working diligently to repair this watermain break and to restore normal service as quickly as possible.
The advisory currently in effect is a precautionary boil water advisory. Of the 200 affected addresses, only two are located within the territory of the City of Pointe-Claire: 2994 Des Sources Boulevard and 2555 Aviation Avenue. If you experience a service interruption or notice any unusual situation, please contact the Inspection – Public Security Department immediately at 514-630-1234.

Due to the work being carried out, Avro Avenue is currently closed to traffic in the affected area.
The shutdown required to repair the break and the boil water advisory should not affect any businesses or residences in the area. The affected perimeter can be viewed on the City of Montreal’s map.
However, if you experience a service interruption or notice any unusual situation, please contact the Inspection – Public Security Department immediately at 514-630-1234.

The situation is currently under review to allow for the planning of repair work.
