Update: July 26, 2024
The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to announce that a fourth athlete from Pointe-Claire will be competing at the 2024 Olympic Games: Serena Browne. She will be competing as part of Team Canada’s water polo team.
Serena was introduced to water polo at an outdoor pool in Pointe-Claire when she was 14 years old, and she quickly grew passionate about the sport. Her drive, competitiveness and work ethic led her to play NCAA-level water polo with the University of Stanford, and eventually qualify for Team Canada’s roster ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games.
We would like to congratulate Serena on her incredible accomplishment, and we wish her much success at the Olympic Games.

It is with great pride that the City of Pointe-Claire announces that three athletes from its Pointe-Claire Aquatics clubs have qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games held in Paris. Their hard work, dedication and unparallel drive have led them to the biggest stage in sport.
Caeli McKay, who trained as diver with the Pointe-Claire Aquatics Club for over five years, will represent Canada at the Olympics for a second occasion. On a daily basis, Caeli works to develop and unlock her full potential, while also making an impact through her drive, talent, and work ethic. She also continues to embody positive values while being a role model for other athletes in the community. She was notably awarded the 2023 Ripple Affect Award by Diving Canada for her positive impact on others.
Nathan Zsombor-Murray will also be competing in his second Olympic Games this summer as a diver with Team Canada. Born and raised in Pointe-Claire, he has been training with the Pointe-Claire Aquatic Club for over 15 years. Nathan has also won the 2023 Male Diver of the Year with Diving Canada for his dedication and commitment to his sport and was the recipient of the 2024 Beneva bursary.
Patrick Hussey was selected to represent Team Canada following his strong showing at the 2024 Olympic Trials held in Toronto. Starting with the Pointe-Claire Swim Club at a very young age, Patrick’s success is tied to his patience, contagious positivity, unparalleled work ethic, and his determination to improve not only his athletic abilities but in the noticeable personal growth and self-improvement he demonstrated over the course of his 14-year tenure with the Swim Club.
We would like to congratulate these three athletes on their incredible accomplishment and wish them continued success in their sport.
