Improvement Work on Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road, Between Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club and Lakeside Avenue
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform residents that road improvement work on Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road will begin on September 8 and continue until September 18, between the Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club and Lakeside Avenue.
Traffic
During the construction work, Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road will be closed to traffic between Lakeside Avenue and the Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club. Only local traffic will be permitted.
Public Transit (STM)
Stops on the 202 bus line (east and west) on Lakeview Avenue and Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road, between Saint-Jean Boulevard and the Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club, will be suspended during the construction work.
A shared taxi service will be available to STM riders from September 8 to 18, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., to take the place of the 202 bus service on the affected section.

Improvement Work on Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road, between Lakeview and Fifth Avenues

The City of Pointe-Claire informs you that road improvement work will take place on Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road, between Lakeview Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
Work will begin during the week of August 3 and continue through the end of October 2026.
The project will be carried out in six phases. Before the start of each phase, communications will be issued to inform you about the upcoming work.
Phase 1: August 3 to September 9, 2026
This first phase will include the following work:
- pulverizing the road surface;
- rebuilding and repairing certain manholes and sumps;
- rebuilding sidewalks and curbs;
- levelling the foundation and laying the base course.
Traffic
During this phase, Du Bord-du-Lac–Lakeshore Road will be closed between Fifth Avenue and Lakeview Avenue. Only local traffic will be permitted.
During sidewalk reconstruction, access to driveways may be limited at certain times.
During the work, motorists and pedestrians will be required to use the detour via Lakeview Avenue and Fifth Avenue.
Overnight parking will be permitted on the surrounding streets. We ask that you follow the temporary signage in place.
