MTMD Work: Closure and Lane Restrictions on the Saint-Jean Boulevard Overpass and the Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) Service Road

The City of Pointe-Claire has been informed by the Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable (MTMD) that overnight roadwork will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. at various times over the next two weeks on the Saint-Jean Boulevard overpass above Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40).

Mobilization operations will begin as early as 7 p.m. to secure the area before the work begins.

Night of September 3 to 4

The work will be carried out in two alternating phases. Two lanes will be affected at a time, either northbound or southbound.

Night of September 9 to 10

The entrance ramp to the Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) service road eastbound, from Saint-Jean Boulevard southbound, will be completely closed.

Detour:

• Saint-Jean Boulevard southbound;
• Holiday Avenue eastbound;
• Victor-Davis Avenue.

Night of September 10 to 11

The entrance ramp to the westbound Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) service road from northbound Saint-Jean Boulevard will be completely closed. The westbound service road will be reduced to one lane approaching the entrance ramp.

Detour:

• Saint-Jean Boulevard northbound;
• Brunswick Boulevard eastbound;
• Selkirk Avenue southbound.

During this period, the Félix-Leclerc Highway (A-40) service road will be closed between the Saint-Jean Boulevard exit and the entrance ramp to the service road eastbound from Saint-Jean Boulevard southbound.

Detour:

• Exit toward Saint-Jean Boulevard;
• Saint-Jean Boulevard southbound;
• Holiday Avenue eastbound;
• Victor-Davis Avenue.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their trips, follow the posted signage and slow down when approaching the work zone to help ensure everyone’s safety.
