Please note: When a collection cannot be completed on the scheduled day, it generally continues on the next business day. We invite you to leave your bins or items to be collected at the curb until the collection has been completed.

Weekly household waste collection continues!

Weather patterns in recent years have resulted in longer, milder autumns, with temperatures above seasonal averages.

To better respond to this reality, the City is adapting household waste collection and will continue weekly collections until the end of October. This change will provide a service better suited to household habits while optimizing collection operations.

The new collection calendar for the City of Pointe-Claire is now available, and a printed version was distributed by mail in mid-August.

Local Ecocentre

The local Ecocentre will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Public Works yard (50 Terra-Cotta Avenue).

You can bring, among other things:

• construction waste;

• electronic products;

• tires;

• or any other item that should not be placed in the household waste or bulky item collection.

A document shredding service will also be available, with a maximum of five boxes per household.

Bulky item collection

A bulky item collection will take place on Wednesday, September 9.

Bulky items are non-upholstered objects that are too large to be placed in a bag, box or garbage bin. They include, for example, certain pieces of furniture or large items that can be recovered and diverted from disposal.

Important: Only accepted items will be collected. Refused items or items placed at the curb at the wrong time must be removed by the people who placed them there.

Mattresses and box springs are not accepted as part of this collection, as they are collected separately. Bulky items must also not be placed with household waste.
