The residences and commercial and industrial buildings of Pointe-Claire are equipped with water meters. This consumption-based billing system is a lever to encourage the residents of Pointe-Claire to use water in an eco-responsible manner and to preserve drinking water.
This annual tax account is received during the month of September for residential owners, in June for commercial and industrial owners, and in November for multi-unit housing owners. The billing includes consumption costs. Payment is required within 30 days from the date of the notice. Accounts over $300 are payable in two installments.
Each year, during the summer season, a team goes through the streets of Pointe-Claire to read the water meters of residential buildings with six units or fewer in order to measure consumption. A notice is published every July when students carry out this route. To consult this notice, please visit our Notices and Alerts section.
The reading of water meters for commercial and institutional buildings is carried out during the months of May and June.
