Description
Racines is a musical project by Laurent Perrault-Jolicoeur, a bass player, composer, and Zal Sissokho, a griot, kora player, and renowned singer. Together, the two composers seek to rebuild and retrace the links between Mandinka and jazz music through their compositions combining the rhythms, harmonies and improvisation of both of these traditions.
