Pointe-Claire is made up of eight electoral districts, each with its unique character. Each district contributes to the diversity and vitality of our City.
In order to meet the requirements of the Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities, the City Council of Pointe-Claire adopted, in June 2024, the By-law to review the division of electoral districts. Read the news for all the details.
Demographic Profile and Language
At the last census, Pointe-Claire had 31,380 inhabitants with a density of 1,660 people per square kilometer.
Our community is predominantly bilingual, reflecting our rich linguistic heritage:
- French: 22.1%
- English: 52.8%
- Other languages: 25.1%
The dynamism of Pointe-Claire is also reflected in the age of its residents:
- Average age: 45.3 years
- Women: 47.4 years
- Men: 42.9 years
