In order to respond to the concerns of some citizens, please note that the bilingual status of the City of Pointe-Claire is not currently threatened. We remind you that during the regular council meeting of September 6, 2022, the elected officials adopted a resolution asking the Government of Quebec that the status of bilingual city be maintained for Pointe-Claire.
To this day, no notice from the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) has been received by the City informing it of the withdrawal of its recognition as a bilingual city.
