Geneviève Rocheleau, Assistant Director of Public Works and Buildings, Elected President of TP Québec

The City of Pointe-Claire is proud to announce that Geneviève Rocheleau, Assistant Director of Public Works and Buildings, has been elected President of TP Québec, the Quebec Public Works Association, at the annual general meeting held on October 16, 2024. She will begin her one-year term in this prestigious role in October 2025. For the upcoming year, she will serve as President-Elect on the executive committee.

Ms. Rocheleau thus becomes the second woman to hold this leadership position within TP Québec, marking a significant milestone for female representation in the field.

Holding a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and a graduate certificate in public administration, Geneviève Rocheleau has over sixteen years of management experience, twelve of which have been with the City of Pointe-Claire. Since her appointment as Assistant Director of Public Works and Buildings in 2021, she has distinguished herself through her leadership and commitment to implementing several initiatives focused on enhancing performance, financial management, and strategic planning within the department.

In addition to her technical expertise, Ms. Rocheleau is also dedicated to advancing the role of women in public works, a field still largely male-dominated. Her commitment to promoting greater female representation in technical and municipal professions makes her a true inspiration, fostering a rich diversity within her department.

Geneviève Rocheleau’s appointment as President of TP Québec reflects not only her expertise and dedication to improving public services but also her active role in cultivating new generations of leaders, particularly among women.
