Hydro-Québec: Vegetation control work under a distribution line of electricity

News
Published on March 7, 2019 to 12:00 a.m.
Hydro-Québec will carry out vegetation control work in the Bruce Street area bordering the cities of Pointe-Claire and Kirkland. These operations will then allow for the modernization of the distribution network serving the West Island of Montréal.

Nature of the work

The teams mandated by Hydro-Québec will be cutting down eleven trees, three of which are located in Pointe-Claire in the area of Bruce and Canvin streets. Some of these trees are dying ash trees. Tree residues will be recovered.

The municipalities of Pointe-Claire and Kirkland have been informed of this work. The private owner concerned has also authorized these operations.

Timeline

The work will take place in two stages:

  • Trees will be cut on March 11 and 12, 2019;

  • The remaining felling will be done during electrical work later in the spring.

During electrical work, should your electric service be interrupted, you will be notified by Hydro-Québec's customer service department.

Appropriate traffic signs will be put in place for the duration of work.

We thank you for your understanding.
