Opening of the REM Anse-à-l’Orme Branch on May 18, 2026
The City of Pointe-Claire would like to inform you that the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) has announced that the Anse-à-l’Orme branch will begin service on Monday, May 18.
As of that date, the REM will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. across its entire network. On the Anse-à-l’Orme branch, trains will run every 15 minutes throughout the day.
More information about activities and events planned for that day will be shared by the REM in the coming weeks.
This branch will include four new stations in the West Island of Montreal, including two located in Pointe-Claire:
The opening of this new branch will connect public transit users to downtown Montreal and the surrounding region, extending as far as Île-des-Sœurs, Ville de Deux-Montagnes and Ville de Brossard.
In preparation for this opening, the STM has redesigned its bus network to facilitate access to these stations.
To learn more about the opening of the REM and the bus network redesign, the STM is hosting an information session on Thursday, April 30 at Pointe-Claire City Hall.
